On Wednesday Super Sport United had its victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila 1 to nil. Their win goal was netted by their left striker Bradly Grobler who at the first half battled with Washington Arubi who fought the pressure and attacks of the Super Sport United, even though luck went AWOL in the second half which got the TTM a lose to the 1-0.

The results leaves Super Sport at the 6th place on the DSTV Premiership Table being led by Mamelodi Sundowns as the top of the lead with a goal difference of 19 points. Then  Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on the 13th place on the log also can make it to the top 10 with the remaining 4 games if they claim victory, even though chances are slim due to high competition  and serious match clashes.

The first chance of the match fell at Jamie Webber's foot in the first five minutes. Jesse Donn teed up his midfield partner who seemed sure to score but Washington Arubi pulled off excellent save to deny the opponent an early goal. In the first half Arubi was vigilant and energetic to a point that he covered his position and the mistakes done by his back players for attacks form the Super Sport.

Arubi was at it again four minutes before halftime, this time to clear out Grobler who got on the end of a corner kick to test the TTM shot-stopper. Grobler finally got his goal in the 52nd minute of the match, to take his tally up to 14 goals for the season and strengthened his grip on the golden boot award. Guily Mazimba found the Matsatsantsa forward back post and he made no mistake, nodding from close range punishment with no luck.

Vhadau vha Damani threatened to get an equalizer late on through the back 4 of the Super Sport United defenders  but Williams played a cat jump save securing Groblers goal for a win, also his fierce shot range in the 80th minute was well denied into the back of a net by Robert Williams. Not only Williams denied balls at the back of the net, but also Washing Arubi was an impassable barrier with Bradler Grobler being denied on several times.

In the end, Super Sport United held on for three points in what is a welcome revert to winning ways for the Tshwane club. Super Sport United's upcoming match is against arch-rivals Mamelodi Sundowns. The two Pretorian clubs battle it out in two weeks time  at the Loftus Versfeld. Although Super Sport United are out of the title race, they still have a greater chance to finish in the top three which will guarantee them a spot in the Confederation Cup (CAF) the coming season.
